The Rainier Mountain Complex is a Pre-War military research facility.

The RMC was claimed by the Enclave sometime in the 2260s, as the base of operations of a small Enclave force sent from Chicago. For just over twenty years, the base was their seat of power in the region, though they mostly kept to themselves. However, because of the new commanding officer's beliefs, as well as their distance from fellow Enclave forces, the local regiment was forced to recruit from the general population of the area. This eventually led to the loss of the Complex after the first battle of Lakewood, and the Enclave's fall from power in the region.
